Mini Sweet Potato Doughnuts with Maple Glaze

Sweet potatoes are a huge thing in my family. I've basically been raised on them, skin and all. It just gets a bit awkward sometimes if my mom bakes the whole bunch all at once, and then I'm caught in this perpetual state of omg-I-want-to-eat-it-all-no-must-restrain-self. I remember trying to come up with a way to not eat too much at once yet still satisfy my psychological sweet potato demands, and I guess I was also feeling particularly creative that morning, so voila! Yams and doughnuts, two of my favorite things.

Recipe very loosely adapted from: Around My Family Table. Usually for recipes, I stick to my favorite food blogs, but this time I had to work around the spontaneity of the situation. Aka I hunted through Google to find the quickest, easiest recipe with the most common household ingredients cause I needed sweet potato, in belly, now.
