Fresh Basil-lime Cooler
I've always seen the lime as the lemon's cooler brother. (Yes, I know you were particularly interested in my thoughts on sour citrus fruits.)
Okay I didn't want to post a picture of myself, but the true winner of the picture is the background. How awesome are the festive lighted garland and artistic chalkboard?
Rare Roast Beef Sandwich with house-made potato chips
Bagel & Smoked Fish
So this should have came with salmon and white fish, but they didn't have any white fish that day. Firstly, no white fish for a dish of its namesake? And secondly, no other accommodations or suggestions on the part of the waitress? I mean I guess that's cool too.

Autumn Wheat Berry Salad
I was very impressed with this - the hearty, nutty texture of the wheat berries complemented the sweet dates well. Score! And for a salad, too! (I also learned what wheat berries were.)

The 2 aforementioned entrees at another angle (I know, how exciting!).
I wasn't going to post a picture of these two weirdos either, but I felt this picture helps contribute to the feel of the ambiance. Because usually bad camera lighting = cool ambiance.
The assembled masterpiece.
A rhinoctopus and and seahortterfly?
And of course, upscale restaurants in uptown = many upperage patrons.
And with its proximity to Klyde Warren Park and that glorious complimentary valet, Lark on the Park is pretty solid for a meal a little (okay maybe a lot) fancier than the food truck offerings right across the street. But don't get me wrong; those are good too. Actually, I'll make the next post on the food trucks.
